Simple, lucid, brusque and “a tad cynical,” Marjolaine Beauchamp has had an unusual career. She came out of nowhere to win the National Grand Slam Poetry Competition, making her mark amongst Outaouais poets and going on to represent France in 2010. Her first collection of poetry will come out in 2010 with Éditions de l’Écrou. In the meantime, she is participating at multiple slams and shows for poetry and spoken word. She also helps musicians with textual and musical projects, which combine video, words, lighting and ambition. She adores her native region and intends to promote and represent its diffusion and diversity in many ways.
