Markita Boies

Markita Boies is a Montreal actress. She graduated from the theatre program of Lionel-Groulx 33 years ago. Since then, she has spent most of her career on the stage and has performed in over sixty plays. Her credits range from Réjean Ducharm and Louise Bombardier, to Larry Tremblay and Lise Vallaincourt, not to mention Shakespeare, Claudel, Molière, Neil Simon, Djuna Barnes, Calderon de la Barca and Marivaux. She has worked under the direction of Roussel, Lepage, Duceppe, Poissant, Mouawad, Beaulne and Reichenbach, to name a few. We’ll see her next in May 2010, at L’Espace Libre where she’ll perform in L’Amour à trois, a play by Larry Tremblay and directed by Francine Alepin.
