Ines CánepaInes Cánepa was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. As far back as she can remember, she has enjoyed singing. Her great sensitivity to music naturally led her to explore singing and develop her voice. She studied vocals and guitar at T.U.M.P. (Uruguayan Popular Music Workshop) and was a member of the group Tocata y Fuga, winner of an award for unreleased music at Alfa FM radio. In 1993, she moved to Montreal, where she participated in a number of music projects such as TRIO ISA (songs of Rio de la Plata) and CLAVE DE SUR (Afro-Uruguayan candombe). From 1996 to 1998, she studied vocals under Renée Charon and percussion under “Vovo” Orlando Consesçao. She mounted a show that took audiences on a musical journey across Latin America, accompanied by Rodrigo Salazar on bass, Pablo Bonacina on guitar, Normand Bock on percussion and Marcelo Padre on flute and sax. Since 2002, she has been exploring the field of music composition and songwriting. Featured in event
