Naila Keleta MaeNaila Keleta Mae is an accomplished interdisciplinary artist, independent educator and emerging scholar who makes words come alive with charismatic versatility and gut-wrenching content. She holds a Magisteriate of Fine Arts, a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction and has worked in Brazil, Canada, France, South Africa and the US. Her work raises provocative lines of inquiry into institutionalized cultures of domination including implicit white supremacist, feminist and black liberation censorship. Naila Keleta Mae’s theatre, literature, film, music and journalism are grounded in the lived experiences, conflicts and frictions of the real world of a brown-skinned black Canadian woman.
