Bryan Perro

Bryan Perro is a storyteller by birth, actor by training, teacher to survive, writer by choice, university researcher on occasion, full-time freelancer, part-time idler, and traveller whenever he can. He owes his gift for storytelling to his grandfather Raoul, an old rascal of an Indian from St-Maurice, and his other grandfather Georges who would declaim his stories at family parties. Originally from Shawinigan, Perro holds a Bachelor’s degree in theatre teaching from UQAM and a Master’s degree in Quebec studies from UQTR. He teaches theatre at the Collège de Shawinigan. He has published several plays and novels, including Pourquoi j’ai tué mon père (Les Intouchables, 2002). At present, he lives in Grand-Mère, in blackfly country, enjoying his dog, his garden, and his cords of wood.
