Jerry SnellOriginally from Vancouver, interdisciplinary artist, Jerry Snell is known internationally for the excellence of his work frequently presented since 1980 in Europe, North/South America and Asia. In 1996, he co-founded in Paris with Nadine Thouin the physical theatre company Snell-Thouin-Project (STP). He was also one of the founding members of the company Carbone 14 (1980-1995) working as actor, singer, musician, director, musical director and choreographer. Considered as "one of the pillars of C-14" and noted by the critics for his direction and musical direction in Krieg "the most poetic performance of Carbone 14. At the same time, his film and television career has spanned over 20 years and has included such films as Jean-Claude Lauzon’s Night Zoo; Vincent Ward’s Map of the Human; Francois Girard’s Emmy Award winning Le Dortoir; and the 15 Février 1839 of Pierre Falardeau. As a musician/composer, Snell has written and composed for film, theatre, musical performances and documentary soundtracks. His first CD: LIFE IN A SUICIDE RIOTS (1993, distributed by Ambiances Magnétiques) was released in 1993 and has been performed in concert and also used by C-14 for their creation and film of Café des aveugles "In Autumn 2001, he wrote and produced his second record CASH, the album (on the label La Tribu).
