On March 23, the Conseil des arts de Montréal awarded its Grand Prix, and Les Filles Électriques was in the running once again, alongside Esse magazine, the RIDM, Oboro Gallery, Théâtre PàP and many others. In the end, Elektra and Mutek shared the award. Bravo for their hard work and the international exposure they’ve given Montreal. As for us, we’re proud that our commitment to exploration, daring and deviance was recognized for a second time. As D. Kimm told the nominating committee: “Innovating is knowing how to live with imperfection.” With that in mind, we’re setting up for a stunning 10th annual Festival Voix d’Amériques in 2011.
