PM Dimanche
2004

poetry + music + voice + improvisation = the text performed = spoken word

The PM Dimanche was an afternoon event that took place in 2004 on the last Sunday of the month from September to December at the Casa del Popolo.

Monthly Workshops

These monthly workshops offered an opportunity for musicians and performers (whether poets, writers, storytellers, etc.) to come together in a creative atmosphere and experiment. Not so much a “show” for spectators to come and watch, but a work-in-process for people to witness. An open, friendly environment surrounded the artists, with the goal of providing a space to try new things in an informal, relaxed setting. Hosted by D. Kimm.

Open Mic

In the second half of this event, a “first-come, first-served” open mic followed, with musicians accompanying the poets.

Our aim is to invite anyone and everyone who may be interested in sharing their words: the layperson, the emerging writer, the established published author.

Let’s hear it for risk-taking! Let’s hear it for imperfection! And three cheers for courage, sincerity and the “work in progress!”
