Stanley Péan

Born in Port-au-Prince (Haiti), raised in Jonquière, Stanley Péan is the author of some twenty books published over the past twenty years, including his novels Le Tumulte de mon sang and Zombi Blues, and his recently published collection of short stories Autochtones de la nuit. He’s also a passionate lover of jazz and songs, a radio host, a bon vivant, the father of two exhausting little tornadoes called Laura and Philippe and he acts as editor in chief of Le Libraire, a bimonthly journal published by Quebec’s independent bookstores, and as chairman of l’Union des écrivaines et écrivains québécois. When he’s not writing, he’s trying to learn how to play the trumpet — at his neighbours great despair.
